The Double of the Day

In order to entertain our double rifle connoisseurs I have unashamedly raided the public domain of the internet.

Here bringing to you pics of double rifles, big bore and smaller, daily or thereabouts.

________________________________

Defourney Drilling 8x60mm, 8x60mm & 20 gauge

I think I will take the 600NE Purdey double. Actualy ,I might take two and keep one as a spare in case I misplace one. I wonder how often guns of this quality would be used in the field.

cr500

That rifle was advertised for a mere US$395,000. So why not take three and bargain them down to a cool mil for the three.

In answer to your question, probably never.

NitroX, Beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to find these DG photos. I placed several of them in my computer screen saver. By the way - who did you get to take a picture of you pointing those big bores? LOL. Best Regards, Wes.

Don’t be too quick to think some great doubles don’t make their way to a bush camp. It is the cheap part of the excessive.
