500,dont believe every thing they tell you.
Annette W,an Aussie pistol shooter flew from Melbourne to Sydney last year to a competition.
Her olympic pistols dissapeared, never to be seen again.
They were booked in at Quantas as firearms.
My wife booked her pistols on a flight from Sydney to Perth,Pam arrived but pistols were located a few days later in North Queensland.!!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!

Several years ago I was selected to serve on a jury in Federal Court in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During testimony, it came out that the defendant, and all his character witnesses were all postal employees who worked in the main post office in Philadelphia. Every one of the character witnesses, and the defendant, were convicted loan sharks, drug dealers, drug users, and thieves. And, all of them were still employed by the Postal Service, thanks to their union.

Small wonder then, that things go missing in the post.

Lets take it easy on state employees, I happen to be one and I try to put in an honest days work for an honest days pay. When I get called out in the middle of the night to hang out over a bridge pier 100' above the water because a barge hit a bridge pier, Ill have a special thought for you. A few lazy people should not ruin it for all the hard workers. I do agree with the majority, If you raise enough hell with the post office, they will be forced to dig deeper into it. Good Luck finding your gun.

No state employees implicated in our case, Mike. Mail delivery turned over to contractors long ago. Part of the problem I suspect.
