416 Rigby with 400 gr bullets

I own the 416 Remington and I think the 416 Rigby can handle
the pressures the 416 Rem can but according to the load books they are just about equal in fps. So I don't know. Does anybody know?

The Rigby case is almost identical to the .416 Weatherby. .416 Rigby brass can be made from Weatherby brass if the belt is turned off, apparently. That brass will handle all the pressure and recoil you want, I'd imagine.

You can load the 416 rigby to practically Weatherby velocities/pressures. Assuming of course your action can take it. jorge

The 416 Rigby is so nearly identical to the 416 Wby that you can actually use 416 Wby reloading data in a modern 416 Rigby if you choose to push the bullets really fast (400 grs. at 2700 fps). However, there is no need for that in African hunting.
