Succesful Latvian hunt

I just had reports from two clients that been hunting Latvia for three days (usually to short period) for red stag. One of them shot what is likely to be the biggest trophy so far this year and the other shot a got trophy Red Stag and a 100 Kgs Wild Boar.

Photos will come tomorrow.

Looking forward to them Christer.

If they have any photos of the hunting country, surroundings etc as well as trophy photos please feel free to post some of those as well. I know I always enjoy seeing the "place" as well as the game on the ground.

One of these days I would certainly like to get up that way.

I will develope the photos today and later in the week I will edit their video footage from camp and after tthe shot etc.

I just got this photo from one of my clients, the Red Stag is about 8 kgs and is likely to be one of the biggest trophies shot in Latvia so far this year.

Very, very nice Stag! Please excuse my lack of geographical knowledge, but where is Latvia located on the continent? Also what are the fees associated with hunting Stag there?

Latvia is the middle Baltic state situated as a former part of USSR, just go over the Baltic sea and you will find Sweden.

Trophy fee for this big stag is about 2500-3000 US dollars. This size is not very common though and a normal fee is more like 1000-1250 US dollars. All dependent on the weight of the skull with antlers. Daily rates are not very high, around 175 US dollars per day.

You can also hunt Wild boar and Moose etc in Latvia.
