Excellent trophy animals, 470Nitro, there's some real quality there. That 31-point boar is a ripper, very nice choppers indeed. Beaut crescent bull too at 105 points.

Matt G_ has a couple of terrific hunting areas, glad they produced the goods for you.

I had a great hunt but I want to try some Asia (Ibex), Africa again and America (Polar Bear & dall) before to try some Rusa and more pigs .

There's a long trip from here, so I left my guns at home. Matt let me a .308W Ruger for pigs, a .375 H&H Sako and some kind of strange PH gun in .458W.

Probably it was a Winchester, the action was the same but it have shorter barrel and kick like a hell . There was several like that in the camp. Is the one in the pic with the big body boar.

Bakes,

Is that the same "Rod and Rifle" shop that is in Katherine directly across the Stuart Hwy from a servo and I think a Commonwealth bank?

Hey that gun is a 'custom built' Mod 98 with Brown Precision Ultralight stock and dead-sexy paint job!
Ironically I think 470 and NitroX are the only two clients I have ever let shoot it at critters - you should feel honoured! Actually, maybe both of you are crazy??

Cheers all
Matt

470Nitro

That is a spectacular buffalo trophy. Really long scimitar horns. It needs a special mount in my opinion, maybe a head down mount to really display their shape. You have two to display two so a couple of choices.

What is your intention with them - European skull mounts, full mounts!, shoulder mounts?

Nice boars too. What was the tally for piggies for the pig hunting property? I know you love the pigs.

I don't know about nitrox, but I was crazy before to shot this thing

Well, I was thinking a shoulder mount for the small one (nice enough) and European skull mount for the big one (looks bigger ). Any advice will be welcome anyway.

What do you mean "tally"??? . Pig hunting is one of the most amazing hunt around the world. the trophy is usualy a surprise and you have very few chances to get them. I love it .
I took 6 boars. Enough to make a nice mount all together.

Here's an idea I had as soon as I saw that picture.

Buffalo head down as if swinging his horns and head around in anger.

A shoulder mounted cape might not be big enough and you would want to be sure the taxidermist can do a good job of it.

A skull mount would show the shape of the horns off well too, and is a lot easier.

No matter what it will make an impressive trophy on your wall.

A "stroppy" buffalo will often drop its nose and swing its horns around to show its opponent the size of its horns. I know we had a bull like this on my cull hunt and George and I turned tail and ran away like two scared school girls (because we didn't want to have to shoot the bull if it charged). It was probably only 30 metres away.

You can see the first video here: http://media.putfile.com/aussie_buff

Now I got the trophies here and I need some picture for the taxidermist. I like Nitrox's idea but I need a pic to explain it to the taxidermist . Anyone got any nice picture (mounted or live)???

The two buffalo trophies look really nice on the wall. I like them both.

The shoulder mounted one sure is a monster too.

470Nitro,

What a collection of great trophys!

I see in the corner if this picture that you have some hippo tusks mounted. Could you post a piture of the whole thing please? I'm trying to think of various options for my hippo.
