This is a suggestion to make both NitroX and Mickey happy - both black rum and gin work well with this cocktail, Planter's Punch.
Put some ice cubes into a cocktail shaker and sprinkle some finely ground black pepper over them. Pour a peg of either gin or black rum over the ice and then pour three pegs of orange juice over them. I prefer either fresh orange juice with pulp or unsweetened orange juice, and if someone wants the cocktail to be sweet, I pour half a spoonful of honey over the ice cubes before sprinkling the pepper. Shake well and serve the drink without the ice. I usually pour it out of the top of my shaker after taking the cap off.
Cheers and do let me know what you think about this!

I haven't tried it yet, but like the concept of ground black pepper. Symbolism for black powder.

Maybe a dash of Black Powder. It used to be considered a remedy for Syphilis.
Have any of you ever shot in a Postal Match? Everyone shoots a target at their own range and compares the results.
Perhaps a Members Postal match to decide which of Mehul's Cocktails are best. That way we can all test them from the safety of our home and avoid the Coppers.
The finals should be tested by a Campfire in the Bush. Perhaps Regional NE get togethers. Unfortunately for us in the North a Hot Buttered Rum may be best,

Mick, sounds good to me. Also, the drink should come with a LARGE umbrella here in the Pacific Northwest.

Those with syphilis might consider an aqueous solution of Young's 303, drunk alfresco while wearing short sleeves and bombay bloomers.
The 'cocktail' louches to the colour of a white russian and has a pleasant carbolic smell that might remind you of Florence Nightingale's hospital.
The exposed limbs will help you get bitten by mosquitoes so you may acquire malaria, which is claimed to have cured Cesare Borgia's VD.
