SELL: Charles Lancaster 500 BPE Double Rifle

Charles Lancaster 500 BPE 3" underlever hammer double rifle for sale. 28" Damascus barrels with oval bore rifling. Bores are in good condition, with the action locking up tight and on face. Non rebounding locks with stalking safeties. Comes with a non-OEM hard case.

The rifle is located in Wollongong, NSW Australia.

Now THAT is a cool rifle, with "working" hammers, but inside strikers.

Wow, what a nice looking Lancaster and in a caliber that I don't have. I like those early Lancaster hammers. I have a 360, 450/400, & 450 but no 500s. Unfortunately, your rifle isn't in the USA.

Probably the most important question is how does it shoot? Do you have a range report? If you get the combination (bullet size & powder charge) right, they are very accurate rifles.

Unfortunately the new firearm legislation in NSW is forcing me to let go of some rifles to remain compliant. I wanted to keep this Lancaster to see how it performed with a good paper patched bullet combination, but sadly will never get the chance.

A seriuos question, but have you considered moving to one of the free states? Qld, NT, SA and TAS have all told Albanese to get f*^&$#. Vic is vacilating. No future in NSW so why stay?

Very sorry to read of the forced sale.

Remember through the BGRC some big bores should able to be classified as club target rifles.

Off topic, SA? Perhaps on a politics forum thread. I'd like to read what SA has said? I've only read what the SA Police Commissioner has said, I'll wait until post the March State election until I'll breathe easier.
