Want to Buy 400/350 dies

Recently picked up a 400/350 double if you have a set of dies you dont need I am looking to buy a set.

Is that the 400/350 Rigby?

CH4D list them.

You are not likely to find another source for these dies in the US.

Yes it and the 400/350 Rigby No2 are the same dies.

I contacted them it it will 10-12 month wait to get produced.

Hornaday can do a set in 12-14 weeks.

A sizing reamer and die body from PTG is 8-14 weeks.

Before I backorder a set or have a set made. Wanted to check and see if someone has a set collecting dust from some estate auction they bought years ago.

Hornady said the can make them in 12-14 weeks? That's new.

Better check the drawing very close before you order from PTG.

I am weary of PTG. Took them way over 2 years to make 358/338RUM dies and then they made just standard 338RUM. All they had to do was run a 358 neck die through the 338RUM before hardening it. Lee did it withing 2 months of having a couple of fired cases. Redding will also make them but they do cost.

I wouldn't have PTG make the dies just buy the die body and reamer from them and make the die on my lathe.

Have learned to inspect their drawing VERY CAREFULLY over time.

They are scarce for sure.
I'd say, if the brass fits as is, neck size, load them up, fire form and neck size only from there on. That is, as long as both chambers are the same which they should be so you wouldn't need to separate right from left loads.
Or, if you need to FLS, maybe a 400-360 die without the expander would size the body and then neck size for the .358" bullet.
Those aren't exactly common but a bit more available than the 350s.

That is a good point. CH4D has 360's in stock
