That Wilkinson's .500 hammer driven strikers is quite unique. I've not see that prior to yours.

Cool! You should by it. Rifle/shotgun matching actions. Such a "find". I had another look at it, but the picture is a bit blurry. It looks like Holland on the lock plate. But, I suppose it could be Wilkinson. Looks like Holland to me. Looked again and likely Wilkinson.

Thanks Casper. Great picture. I suspect the hammer safeties disengage when pulling to full bent position from 1/2?

No they must be disengaged manually before the hammers will go to full cock,.

Thanks for tossing up that youtube clip Casper. Never tire of checking out the design variations and gunmakers' skill from the "Golden Years"... Marvelous stuff!

I’m glad that you are active on YouTube. The usual content for anything late 19thC hunting weapons is pretty lame or sparse. I’ve thought that I’d like to start a channel myself if I could do it with a modicum of production quality…

My videos aren't what I'd call polished by any means. I edit them some but to be truthful it's just not worth my time to make them an epic video. lol

I wonder, can a "group" youtube channel be created? Where multiple users or members can post videos? Or a channel where others can be given access?
My/our self interest in keeping NitroExpress.com alive, relevant, up to date and interesting for members and visitors. Lots of people like watching videos? Like making videos. So adding a video "channel" might be a good addition.
I'm sure upgraded forums would have video capability. Certainly directnphotos posting. But I'm a little leery of videos, in terms of storage and bandwidth usage if it gets going. Could blow out quickly.
Using YouTube for videos would remove that risk. As long as YouTube continues to allow guns and hunting content. A future consideration.
NitroExpress.com already has a YouTube account and channel. I'll have a look into it. And see how shared access works or not. But if anyone knows, please chime in.
Apologies, I don't want to hijack this thread. I can split it off if needed. Anyone commenting on Caspars rifles, don't use my post to reply. Except on the YouTube question. I'll split it in a post or two.

Just so the quick reply stays on Caspar thread. I'm posting again.
But the BPE Double rifles with hammers are especially worthwhile. And for double rifles for medium game use, quite affordable in comparison to nitro express.
