Thanks metal, it turned out better than I hoped.

Thanks mate - doesn’t shoot too bad. Went out after some goats this arv, got these three. First was offhand at 30m, the other two off a log at 80m. Also shot a roo at 140m. Needless to say the 154gr RN did the job efficiently. Loving the double set triggers

Field testing is always satisfying!
Excellent way to open the score.
I have a great appreciation for the Type B styling since acquiring an 8mm original some years ago.
Even as a confirmed anglophile I can appreciate the straight bolt-handle with pear-shaped knob and slender fore-end with functional keeled schnabel.
Nice rendition of the cheekpiece too.
That "7x57 Wedgetail" certainly ticks all the boxes.

Beautiful, classic rifle doing what it was meant for, taking game! How fast are you pushing those 154 round nose bullets?

Very nicely done, Wedgetail, and with open sights - good work.
153yds on a roo!, well done.

Even with the huge crosshairs on the very old Swarovski'd old Mauser I bought, work well with the rifle's double set, double throw triggers.
Didn't have an opportunity to use it on game this fall., maybe next year.(freezer was full of trout, char and some veggies)

140m was an exception, I wouldn’t (and dont’t) normally shoot that far with iron sights. I do really like this trigger, interestingly I find it helps most on off head shots.

average is 2550fps. I’d be comfortable going quite a lot faster, but there’s no point with iron sights
