A. Stricker Sporting Rifle Barrel marked "A. STRICKER GR.LICHTERFELDE" on top, German proofed, light floral engraving, adjustable comb on stock. 8mm.

Groß Lichterfelde is since 1912 Berlin-Lichterfelde so your rifle is before.

Now THOSE are special. Sure liking my 6.5x57 with claw mounted Swarovski 4x32. That heads-up hold is quite nice & easy to get used to. Look at the "target", snap the rifle to the shoulder & chin and looking straight through the scope instantly & on target. Getting used to the fence post reticle. Really nice rifles, Casper. What calibre is the bottom rifle? guessing 8x57I.

They listed it as 8x57 only. Will have to measure it when I get it in hand.

That adjustable pop-üp cheekpiece was invented and DRGM protected by A. Stricker. It is already shown in the 1910 Burgsmueller catalog. So the rifle is certainly pre-WW1, most likely built on a commercial Mauser, Oberndorf action.
