John,

Thanks for posting. I liked this video, particularly seeing round in very slow motion hitting a steel plate and breaking into basically lead dust.

I guess the loads are really NfB loads.

I have seen a couple of 4 bore double rifles and it is always amazing how massive they really are. One I remember most was cased with verious accoutrements and was highly engraved with loads of gold inlay. I doubt that the maharaja ever shot it and if he did, likely it was shot only once and then put into thye gunroom to show off to friends.

Judging by the splatter on the ground, there were some chunks from both the '06 and the 4 bore.

We have watched 520 bullets from 45-70's about 2/3 disintegrate into dust....but.....yeah, uh-huh. Looked like a 22 in comparison. Wow!!!

The wad stack is very interesting.
Especially through the gel - they are all cruising along stringing out behind the bullet and then re-collect inline as the bullet slows down in the gel.
Pretty cool!

Thanks, Lancaster for posting. Somehow, while watching the video, I assumed that John posted.

Huvius, I agree. It was very interesting watching the wad train following the bullet. I believe that all the wads I have used fall within 15' or at least that is where I have seen a few.

They have been around for a while and do some very interesting stuff with some very high speed cameras, with guns and explosives.

Another interesting pair is Ballistic High speed. The also have some very high speed camera's. They are more focused on tactical stuff. They one time set up a bowling ball mortar to shoot a ballistic gel dummy. As the former owner of a bowling ball mortar, the was a very frightening video.
