Very dark stock - great figure in the wood!

Yep - modern build - not an original Rigby.

The timber is nice.

Look to be EAW? moounts

Nice lines.
I certainly looked twice!

The few Kudu Services builds I have had in my hands over the years were very well made and finished without fault.
One was a 9.3x62 that came hunting with us a couple of times. Sadly, it wasn't mine...

Very nice indeed. I wander what action was used

I'd prefer a much lighter coloured stock.

Like NitroX I would prefer lighter coloured wood and the grain flow/pattern is not to my liking.

The iron sights are certainly not Rigby.

Those negatives aside, as they are just personal like/dislikes, the rifle looks good and I would say the workmanship would be impressive knowing who did the build.

I enlarged the picture and grain appeared to run perfectly in the wrist.
It is too dark imho. Also why over priced, by about 5 grand.

this is a 1970,s gun on an FN or similar action ,they were nice rifles but not the same build as pre war tho the wood is about as nice as it gets . a typical browning safari grade of the same era would of been a close contender

Daryl, I just did the same and you are correct. Exceptional grain flow through the wrist.

I agree it is over priced but the stock alone may have cost close to $2000 if it is a custom stock.

I’m not so sure this rifle is overpriced.

Rough prices in AUD:

A decent action ~ $500
Barrel ~$700
Sights / barrel band ~$400
Stock ~$2000
Swaro scope ~ $1200
Hexalock mounts ~ $600 - if you can find them
Trigger? ~ $200

Then add smith work - that quickly adds up.

And be prepared to wait a couple of years.

My thoughts from the "cheap seats":
What a custom rifle "costs to build" versus what a second hand buyer will be willing to pay……..

I'm not in Oz, but this one seems priced well into the high end. Nice rifle tho.
