Darn good book

I just finished this one, great read! Hunting Tigers using the Nepalese "ring" method of enclosing them in a circle composed of trained Elephants, sometimes supplemented with a cloth to fill in the Gaps. Capturing wild bull Elephants using tame ones to tire them out, elephant fights with men on the back of a tamed Elephant armed with a lance. Really interesting I thought.

Steve, nice report. It looks like an interesting book.

However, it seems a little pricy. Available books seem to be collector's items. Checked Amazon and it was $999.99 (cheapest) and $1173 and AbleBooks had it for $625.

No THAT sounds exciting, the elephant taming one.
I think tiger hunting would be good fun, but with a 14 bore SxS muzzleloading rifle.
Might want a .45 1911 for backup.

Looks like a good book for an armchair read.
