Barrel for 425 W.R .(.435" bore. 1-16 twist)

Was to be made into a 425 WR. At least that's what we assume. 23-3/8" long.
Maker unknown, but may be Lilja. Barrel is unchambered but was fitted to a large ring Mauser. New but never finished. The lady who owns it is a widow of an armature gunsmith who died 17 years ago. She's asked me to help her identify and sell the guns he had left in his shop.

I pulled tis barrel and rebarreled the action with a 30-06 barrel from the stack of barrels in the shop and it was then sold the next day. The 425 WR is obviously not a "big seller" in Wyoming so the 30-06 is a far better option for a quick sale. Now we have this .435 groove to groove barrel with a 1-16" twist and no customers.

So Millie told me to see if we can get $125 + postage inside the USA. Shipments out of the USA bear legal problems we'd rather not deal with.
