What model? I have been looking for a proper takedown for a long time. I'll find one sooner or later.

That is a 1903, chambered in .256 velox.

That is one nice rifle. Congrats. And as Casper50 remarks, "a proper takedown"
If you take it down, maybe you can share pics of the stock and forearm ends. I have a folder of pics of just takedown methods since I built a takedown, that I finished this year.

Has a portion of the rifle been restocked? The forearm wood appears darker than the stock.....is it my imagination.

No, all original wood. Fairly typical of Fraser rifles to have a fore end that does not match the butt exactly, I have had a couple of them now.

That's a wonderful rifle. I'm envious!

Branding and marketing.

The 6.5X54 MS was named a few ways, as was the 9.5X57.

Very nice vintage rifle.

Congratulations on your purchase.

Will you use it? Hunting?

I placed that rifle with a client, who then sold it to another. A lovely rifle that will indeed see the field again I'm sure.

Out of the same collection came a spectacular Westley Richards mannlicher takedown in .375 exp which I will be restoring for the new owner.

Someday a mannlicher needs to join my collection, I keep getting side tracked, usually by single shot rifles.
