Couldn't go past this one. Paid for and PTA in so it will be a while before I can set it up. Winchester pre 64 375H&H 1960 model by serial #. It will fit in well with the other 64's. Not a common find here.
Going to load 240gr atomics and hunt locally with it.
Here's a few pics whilst its still in the shop. Cheers Mick

Congratulations on your new rifle!

Looks to be an excellent example too!

That's a great addition. I am a big fan of the Winchester pre-64 Model 70, and also a big fan of the more recent Winchester Model 70 rifles made in their controlled feed configuration.

In 1987 I bagged my first elk using a pre-64 Mod. 70 chambered in .375 H&H.

Good luck with it! Though from your various posts, it seems that good luck rides on your shoulders.

Nice score Mic. Always a "soft" spot in my heart for .375's and especially for pre 64's although I only have one.
My pre. 64's serial# is 1830.

Yeah, nice one Mick.
You're a pig for pre'64s.
I picked up a jar of those Atomics for my .375 JDJ a while back, but haven't loaded any yet.
Let us know how they go.

They are a great rifle, particularly in 375. Nice.

Nice, Mic. I'm not surprised it dropped the petals with such a high impact vel.
