I made a quick translation from norwegian into english for the Norwegian Whale Canon Handbook. maybe not the best but hope its readable.

and I say thanks Nitrox! this is a handbook, you will see that everything turn around safety, safety and safety

its a first hand information about the whaling cannons used in the north atlantik. if you take a look into you will notice that shooting a whale is not so different from other animals. the only difference is the exploding harpoon head that kill a whael instantly if you hit him right.
the reloading stuff comes from kongsberg in norway but someone have a sizing die and a press to resize the 50 mm and 90 mm shells.
no doubt the 90 mm kongsberg whaling canon is the biggest hunting gun ever.

It takes a while to read, but the detail about the various guns kept me reading.

I also found it interesting that they recommended a 9.3 as a finishing round if needed.

a 9,3x62 is maybe the cheapest rifle available for someone who needs a tool, I would try to get a cheap .458 Win gun. problem is the salt water enviroment for any rifle you have so better a cheap tool.
the informations about the whaling canons and the ammo are unique if you want to go into detail, like me.
