I was thinking the farm would be the only place for the cap and ball revolver's use.

I think they are quite rare here but I don't belong to any BP clubs I tried the cap and ball revolver of the acquaintance t a Naval Military Club try day at the AU Regiment Club. Missed but I do want one. One day.

Yes I can use a 22 RF rifle there legally. I wonder if shorts can still be purchased?

Officially a handgun of any sort can only be used ona target range. But yes shooting the percussion caps would work. I could use my .58 Pedersoli DR with percussion caps Quite good idea. Except for its size. BP supplies are in short supply here I think. How many caps do I have? I think it might be a goer though.

Since then I shot black powder handgun at my AU Regiment Club. A Colt 1873, a Remington cap and ball revolver. A single shot le page styled percussion pistol. Great fun.

I'm interested in an 1860 Army Colt .44 cap and ball revolver. I have to find a good one second hand.

One of these just loaded with caps, might make a dandy dog trainer gun. Alas if used in a public park, the attention might be undesirable!

I did order 10x 144 shot eight snap cap rings. Hopefully they can be posted of freighted.

A plastic toy cowboy revolver. And just in case the realistic looking one is a problem, a pack of four see through plastic revolvers.

I can give some away to kids.

Finally found them. The snap caps most essential.

Will be handy for the dog training where a real firearm can't be used.

The percussion caps alone, will give a good sharp "crack", but much depends on the caps used. Some are more energetic than others.
You will also need the purposefully curved or straight-line capper, most likely.
