I don't know whether the recoil of an DR caliber 700 Nitro Express is much stronger than that of a DR caliber 600 Nitro Express. It will certainly depend on the load of the cartridges.

I noticed the chap had the butt out on his arm a bit, not in the shoulder pocket.

I have shot my 700NE over 400 times .... Here below is a video of my shooting full power loads. ... and below that video is a link to the build of the 700NE back in 2015-2016. The 3rd link is about my 600NE. The recoil of my 700NE is nearly identical to that of shooting my VC 600NE. Both are "step-and-a-half" recoil guns.

Hell lancaster,
The 700NE cases made from the 50 bmg brass work great. I have reloaded them 6 to 8 times with no problems.

That back-stepping is what happened to me when firing a .505 Barnes Supreme offhand in an 8 1/2 pound rifle, but it rose more than your .700, buckstix. I was not expecting that much recoil.
Well done in shooting that .700 monster.

I thought so as well. He needs to hold the butt firmer into his shoulder imo.

thats good to hear, it make the 700 NE the cheapest nitro express brass if you have 50 BMG laying around and a lathe with some free time.
maybe I need one because its so low budget
