Mihai Ionut-Daniel for me simply put if you cannot stop a charge with the weapon you are hunting an animal with then it’s the wrong weapon to start with and this video proves it .

I hunted several ele with clients with bow and ended up shooting them all in defense . It is not fair on the animal and in hindsight I wish I had never done it . We learn from our mistakes -dangerous game should not be hunted with bow.

Buzz Charlton yes Buzz I've seen a private video of one of these ele attacks you mention. On a friend's phone, don't worry not broadcast on the net. Shocking to see the guy being pushed along under the elephant bull's forehead during the charge. Yes your shots killed it.

Just watched the video to the end. What a total wank. Ending with an edited version, slow motion. Showing only the shot that hit. And not the wounded lion flailing around. And to cap it off, the crossbow and bolt leaning on the lion, so the client can claim he shot the lion with it?!

How many people were in on this lion hunt? The cast of thousands always seem to be on canned hunts? 2x cameramen. At least 2x rifle shooters. Plus the crossbow client.

Plus the additional footage of the lion chewing on a stick, looks like a very much canned lion.

That is one of our members and a personal friend. "larcher" /JB. The hunter pushed along under the forehead of the running bull elephant is JB's cousin Luc. Luc survived with some bad bone breaks. Collar bone? But he got back to hunting a week later. Upset his broken bone every time he fired the .458 Lott. Tough guy indeed.

Luc was filming while JB hunted with a bow. A bull came out of the bush in a close sudden charge. JB and Buzz got out of the way, split second, Luc did not and got mincemeated under the bull's forehead pushed along. Buzz shot the bull dead.

The video is not public and would outdo any of the charge videos I've ever seen. The video was filmed by Buzz's cameraman and is his property. If Luc's video existed it would be extremely dramatic.
