Never heard of it before. Is it a powerful 9.3x64 rimless with a rim? Does anyone make Ammu ution for it?

I believe it's a mix up between the 9,3x64 Brenneke (rimless) and 9,3x65R Brenneke (rimmed)

Yes - googled, all comes up are 9.3x64 Brenneke.

9.3x65 Colliath? That one looks like a straight taper, similar to the 9.3x72R.

yes, 9,3x64R must be wrong, the name is 9,3x65R

case length is probably the same just x65R to make it more different for the one to stupid to recognise the R. iirc, the 9,3x65R having the same ballistic like the 9,3x64. otherwise it would be close to the 9,3x74R what would be again stupid.

don't heard about a factory load post war, maybe some times brass made by horneber in germany

It's simply an error or a misprint. The caliber is the prosaic 9.3x74R, one of the most used by KRIEGHOFF for its ULM double rifles.

This looks like a really nice set. Indeed the 16 7x65r barrels are very useful all round, especially with a 22 Hornet insert.

I would want to double check on the cartridge of the Double Rifle advertised as 9.3x64R. It may be, but as Joel Dorleac suggests it may well be a misprint. The 9.3x74R is a very useful big game cartridge. Itís not a 375 H&H, but its not far off, and with the correct bullet it could pretty much do what a 375 H&H can do up to 100, 150 yards. Probably not ideal for grumpy Buffalo, but more than adequate for big large animals. Exception would be when you want to take a long 200+ shot, which is a magazine 375H&H comes in as the perfect allrounder.

Brenneke did develop the 9.3x64 as a German equivalent of the 375 H&H. Most of his cartridges eg the 7x64 have a rimmed sister cartridge. But like many on here, havenít seen or read about a Rimmed 9.3x64.

There is a good article https://www.ballisticstudies.com/Knowledgebase/9.3x64+Brenneke.html

I have just had a look through the CIP listed cartridges, which includes German cartridges. There is listed a 9.3x72r and a 9.3x74r but no 9.3x64R. https://bobp.cip-bobp.org/en/tdcc_public?page=3&cartridge_type_id=2

But there is 9.3x64 - https://bobp.cip-bobp.org/uploads/tdcc/tab-i/tabical-en-page70.pdf

So in conclusion, this is incorrectly described. I would suggest it is a 9.3x74r as this would fit in same frame size as the 16/7x65R.

But it could be chambered for the 9.3x64 rimless cartridge. As said above - I would check before bidding.
