I know. Might as well ask for the moon on the side. Need to feed a new Ruger No.1. Let me know, and thank you.

Bill look for loaded ammo, hard to find and expensive, but its around.

I will be reviewing my Rollover IRA in January and making a decision about my trip to SA and Cape Buffalo. The Economy has been rough on it. If I don't go, I will return your bullets-what is left that is. I may have some brass that I would share with you after the first of the year.

Any Interest in South Texas Nilgai?

Douglas, thanks. I really hope you do go for Cape Buffalo. I want to read the report on how your rifle performed -- and see a big smile on your face next to an even bigger m'bogo.
No need to return the bullets. I am going to order a mold from Tom at Accurate for this rifle.
The nilgai sound very interesting. I've been reading about them for years.

Fellas, a found 69 once-fired Hornady cases, so I am about set for life, I think.

Shameless plug for Accurate Molds! www.accuratemolds.com
I have several of his moulds for my vintage rifles, and specific to my Ruger No1 .450/.400 one of his 41-350W gas check 350 grain.

Pricing not too bad, for a custom mould. They did not show the grease groove position or sizing on the .515" 375gr. bullet I selected for my Winchester 1876, though.
In the verbiage, I suggested 2 square bottomed grease grooves, or one larger one. ????

Daryl, sent you a PM.
Tom at Accurate is easy to deal with as to a "custom" type bullet design.
…Oh yea, he will cut a mould design to any "fairly close to catalog" desired bullet diameter.

Mike, I actually ordered 41-359M from Tom yesterday, but after sleeping on it, have convinced myself that a gas-checked design makes a great deal more sense. I was leaning toward 41-350DG. What did you specify for overall and nose diameters to fit your No. 1? I was thinking .412/.401.
Thanks, Bill
P.S. I cannot find a .411 sizer for the life of me, and will probably just try to open up the Lyman .410 I have at hand.

I ordered the 51-377L in .515 with a minor change to the grease groove size, for my 1876 Uberti in .50/95.

Precisely same requested dimensions,
I have the Ruger No.1 in the 3" Jeffery (.410" groove) as well as my Cogswell & Harrison CERTUS in .450/.400 3 1/4" (.411" groove). That gas check bullet will work fine in either rifle at "factory" speeds with wheel weight alloy, gas check, and LBT Blue lube

As an aside; Save yourself the aggravation of modding the .410 sizer die …... S&S Firearms: https://www.ssfirearms.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SA450 will make you a .411" (or any other size) Lyman/RCBS type die for little more than what you would pay to get a die and then have to mess with it.
I have a couple of their sizers for my BP Express .577's (varied groove dimensions) and they are perfect. You would never know they were not factory OEM.

Lee Precision will also make custom sizer dies that fit a standard 7/8x14 loading press. They come with a plunger that fits onto the press's shell holder groove. Bullets (lubed) are pushed up through the die.
We have used these dies for sizing down jacketed bullets as well, such as .375's sized for 9.3's, .323's to large groove diameter .303's(.315"), and .338's down to .300" for 8x56 Styer straight-pulls.

The only issue with Lee was their "custom order" delivery time was (when I went with S&S) quite a long time. Basic deal breaker because S&S is relatively acceptable delivery times.
That and the S&S is a standard H&I die for sizing lubing which I like as I am partial to the LBT Blue lube for loads that approach or equal original specs.

I still have some of LBT Blue as well. I was running hardened WW 275gr. FN .375's at 2,750fps with it.
