I wonder with today's better FMJ ammo would Bell have kept using his Lee Speed .303s on elephant? Would the .275 Mauser Rigby rifle never have risen to fame in his hands?

Interesting that the ten shot magazine was an optional extra. They generally came with a 5 shot..
I have a similar BSA no 2 rifle with a 5 shot “fish belly” and a no4 sporting with its original 10 shot. Both great shooters. I need to get some photo's posted.

Yes I like it too. But I'd prefer the usual magazine as "more Lee Speed".

If the magazines are exchangeable and SMLE magazines fit, could have both.
