Does any one know of a London maker who has produced a 410 bore “paradox”.

Can't help. What are your plans for a paradox .410? The slugs in a .410 are pretty lightweight. What game is the target for solids in the .410? Wallabies?

Would be unique for sure.

I think a .410 Paradox could be petit. A singletrigger droplock ejector mini-explora .410 3”.

Spare barrels in .360 1/4” express and a capebarrels in .410 and .300 sherwood…

maybe a set of .455Eley barrels to suit the WG Revolver.

From memory the 410 solids were 87gn? so they were very light for calibre.
As you can get brass 2 1/2" 410 cases, why don't you make you own load with say perhaps using a far heavier .41" pistol bullet, would be good for pigs then & if a pigeon or duck happened to fly up well you've got him for the pot as well!
Interesting concept!

Westley Richards with the Explora / Faunetta / Super Magnum Explora ...

They could take the 410 bore application into the "magnumizing" routine and make a very useful small bore hunting gun

Droplock and Ovundo as a paired set..!!!

The query relates to a London gun in early stage of production. It is a 22 hornet sxs rifle. It will come with additional 410 3” barrels. The “ paradox “ thought is still an option. Just trying to see if one already exists. I do have a Holland 375 2.5” sxs rifle with additional 28 bore paradox barrels. The thought of a smaller gun I like.

I remember christies had a 455 Webley classic double rifle b y H&H in auction in the early 1990. it was made to shoot fallow deer in a park.

I like your order of the .22 Hornet side by side rifle. Should be very petite and handy.

As for the .410 shotgun, I started off with a side by side .410 shotgun. I used it to great effect mainly on rabbits. Some pigeons and various other birds. I think mine is tightly choked, evidenced by the small circle dust explosions at considerable range. Mine has hammers. But would be a fraction of the quality level of Colin's.

Looking forward to seeing Colin's in X number of years. Hopefully a fraction of 10!

A Double in 455 Webley would be a rare bird (and a lot of fun) !!!!!

Fun is important. My buff camp this year results were more mirth than buff shot . We did let a few good bulls move on.

When I was about 14 or so, I had a single barerel 410 shotgun that I used to shoot with a case full of 3F BP and a 140 gr round lead ball seated on a grease wad.

From what I remember, it was a more powerful load than the 410 rifle slug that a friend used for hunting small deer in a swampy area in southern Louisiana. I think that those deer were not much bigger than 100#. They were shot at 50 yds or so.

That being said, I would think that 410 paradox with a proper bullet would be fun and, at short range, effective on small deer size game.

How do you bulge a barrel in one of these???
Squid load & bullet stuck in the bore, or perhaps a bit of mud not fully blocking the barrel?

Nifty little piece though!
