Some lovely pieces Lancaster, the last one in 10.75 has some strange marks on the stock, like it was put in a box with something loose & bashed its way around Africa!

I really like the colour cased action, but the spoon-handled bolts kinda leave me a bit cold. Just a personal taste. Overall, beautiful rifles indeed.

Of the auctionet items I like the 9.3x57 best. Looks like an honest gun and very early.

I also like the 10.75x68.

The 6.5 Swede would be very nice indeed if not altered with the scope mount. Same for the African if the bolt handle hadn’t been altered - also looks like a rebarrel due to the caliber marking, which I believe would be “7.6 US” if it were original.

But I’m not one to talk as I have a few original Mauser sporters that have been altered.

All much desirable rifles, thank you for posting Lancaster.
I wonder what is the Thor Hammer marking on the knox form of the 30-06's barrel?

Nice rifles. On the 10.75 the length of the barrel seems unusual. Does anyone know how long it is?

barrel length 70 cm, remember that SN 26889 is very low so less standardised than it was in later years

yes, I am not sure if the 3006 barrel for the african mauser is original. polishing and the tone of the blueing seems a little bit different.

Thanks lancaster I glazed over the 70 tube length in the description. I just felt it was longer at 70 (27.5").

The 30-06 has been rebarelled, it says so in the description, it also says that the claw mount is loose

Oodles of 10.75x68s!

Surely these would make nice driven game rifles even if "cannons"!

I suppose they were once for Ativan and Asian safaris?
