Hunting Trophy Aoudad in Wild West Texas

A trophy aoudad in the Lone Star State isn't going to come easy, as the terrain is far more difficult than most people realize.

Agreed.
I too enjoyed the read, despite the rifle's chambering!
Nothing wrong with blowing wind up Remington's Rse for the Core-Lokt bullet either, an honest no-frills projie that has plenty of runs on the board. Don't use them routinely myself, but have tried them in the past with perfect satisfaction in, coincidentally, the 6.5!
Swede, that is!

Glad you enjoyed the story and THANK YOU for the laugh.. made me giggle reading your post..

The good old CREEDMOOR certainly seems to be the redheaded step-child to many..

The hunt would have probably been a failure had they not been using that caliber..

LOL - LOL I have a pair of 6.5's myself, but alas, no Creedmoor.
Woe is me - or not.
