I need to watch this. Get away from the current world for a while.

Looked for audio books by Corbett. Several in Indian languages eg Marathi. Some you tube audio books. A paucity of choice!

Brilliant! Watched away from home on my tablet with a speaker outside under a leafy tree. The air is mid twenties shit cloudy, a bit humid. Perfect atmosphere! Had a smoke while watching it. While "tigerhunde" pestered me.

A good fictional movie based on Corbett at Naini Two at home and hunting the maneaters of Kumaon. The Chogarh maneater and the Thak maneater.

A bit Greenie but possibly appropriate for Corbett in his latter Indian years.

A movie well worth watching for pundits of double rifles, tigers, shikari and safari.

Tell us what you think?

A question for the experts, what double rifle is Corbett using during the movie?

Tigerhunde Donder was intrigued by the bird calls during the movie. Several times twisting his head to and fro at the sound before pressing his nose against the speaker.

An early name for the German Shorthaired Pointer was "Tigerhunde". Probably due to their "stripes" or speckled white and liver colouring.

Tonight I shall eat Bengali Jalfreezy Chicken with capsicum, red onions and potatoes. Rice. And fresh garlic naan bread. Washed down with cold beer, and spicy chai. Another cigar. Outside under the same leafy tree. Perhaps with a charcoal brazier. And watch it again. Or listen to a YouTube Indian accented Corbett maneater audio take. Alas no double rifle with me to fondle.

Spoken audio reading of "Maneaters of Kumaon", the Thak maneater.

Perhaps more, I have not listened yet.

No offence to my American friends but the strong American accent is difficult for a British Indian story. Perfect for the American West though! Will persevere. . Perhaps perfect for the North American listener.
