Australian cross bow ban ?

There is a rumour that the Australian Police Conference meeting held this week has voted on a total ban on all cross bows.

I have looked for a news report on this but have been unable to find any information.

Has anyone heard anything about this latest attempt at nannyist lunacy ????

Though I don't have one and no plans to get one, they are gaining popularity in the USA with lots more freedom to use them than ever before.

Yeah I heard they had dropped the idea of reccommending banning xbows and are now looking at hunting compounds.
Just goes to show what a bunch of know nothings they are.
