Weekend Sambar Hound Hunt

Well was out with the beagles again this weekend and had bought some new 250 corelocks in the .338 to try out after getting rid of some old handloads and sure enough as the day went on a doe came running down the hill at me and stopped and had a look around over its shoulder for the dogs, then it turned at looked at me and as i could only see its head and a bit of its neck i shot it just behind the ear and it went down like a sack of potatoes,

unfortunately i didnt get to see how the corelocks perform through the chest cavity and the bullet passed right through the neck and when it was skinned found that the whole vertabrae had pretty much been smashed into little pieces, so overall very happy with the corelocks and cant wait to try em out on something a little bigger
