Roosters after hitting a fence and getting tore up, we still managed two.

My boy is very proud of his Prairie Chicken

Fine times indeed. Good gun and good company.

I much prefer a SXS shotgun, probably because I was brought up with them but they seem-to me -to handle and swing better than an Under & Over. What brand of shotgun is it?

WE used to spend a lot of time W of the Mitchell area...

Knew a group of farmers in that area.. was fantastic hunting.. I walked into a slough once towards the end of the season.. was only about a acres.. roosters started coming out..a few at a time.. I started counting.. quit at 265.. insane...

Is a nice shotgun..

Agree with the above, love hunting birds with a side by side.. all I have used as well for the past 20 years....mostly 16 gauge...

Nice gun, of course - those English guns are just about perfect.
My best handling shotgun is a Field of London, SxS twist steel hammer 12 bore. It has perfect bores.

Have been planning to comment here for days! I enjoy the dog stories. And love those old farm implements as well. I have some myself. But none of the funny white stuff. The best I can do is some whitish sand, scorching hot sand at the moment.

Lovely shotgun and dogs. I'd like a nice H&H side by side.

I hope my little ankle biter gets a go on or hundred on pheasants when older. Even if I have to breed them myself.
