WTB hornady 3090 220gr 308 bullet
      #347983 - 16/12/20 08:19 AM

Thanks for looking

Those long round nose soft point 308 220gr Hornady bullets -- or the Sierra Pro Hunter in 220gr

Does anyone here have a box or two of these that they would sell?

I'm loading for the Krag, and I'd like to have some of these for hunting ammunition.

Thanks!

Sorry John, can't help you. I have 4 kksp (kling-kore soft points) Dominion make (1970's) with the stabbed shanks, but that's it.
The shanks were stabbed-in in 4 places to lock the core to the jacket. They were quite "soft" but would likely work well at Krag vel.

Daryl I appreciate your efforts

I actually have some 312 Woodleighs that I'm looking at moving down to 308
They're good, and if I can get good function out of them in the Krag I'll be happy to try them on meat some time in the future.

Lee makes the dies necessary to reduce jacketed bullets in dia.
This should be an ease method for you.
They've gone to .003 maximum (per die) reduction to make the calibre at a time.
The first started selling their lead bullet sizing dies for this. I can only hope they've Taken my advise in following |Corbin's direction on die dia.'s and whats actually needed for moving metal.

The challenge is finding them.
Currently, Planet Earth is out of stock on most handloading supplies.
