Lignum vitae, 12C27 and some leather

Hi Guys
not much happening on this part of the forum so i thought i´d show
a knife i finished last night. still have to oil the sheath some more.

total length 235mm with a blade 115mm (diagonally from plunge to tip)
scales are lignum Vitae or pokenholtz as it´s called here.
steel i 12C27

Curious, Lignum Vitae, is a wood that has a very high content of natural oils and a low coefficient of friction, often used in natural bearings. And has been known to retain this low CofE for hundreds of years (literally). (clocks and also ship propellor shaft bearings) I would think the scales would not be at all "grippy" when covered with blood or gore from skinning operation, is LV a good choice for knife scales?

Will be trying out the knife Now during fall and winter

Still there for me. Very nice knife and sheath. I do prefer longer blades with a guard, however that is a nice design, just the same.
