Wanted 1917 Winchester sporter stock

I am in need of a replacement stock for a 1917 Winchester flat bottom sporterized. This had a Fagen stock on but has been broken in half at the wrist and is not repairable.

not sure if you are a Boyd's stock fan - but they do have a run if I have the M17/P14 type Enfield rifle.

Selection only seems to throw up a 'classic' stock

It virtually is too difficult to import these into Oz due to their restriction on a $ figure; unless we go through a gunshop & then it is very limited selection.
I have a mate who got none of the cheaper laminate stocks, it was a near perfect drop in for his Mauser; he was quite happy about it.
Suppose it will do in a pinch until you can get your old Fagen stock redone in a pantograph.

This is a Winchester and is different from Remington and Eddystone the Boyd will work for them but mine has the smaller floor plate. I use Boyd if a person wants it but otherwise its solid wood. I am not a fan of tupperware stocks.

you have a wonderful old sporter there, I have 2 Winchesters - but in P14 & in original trim.
We do have a good blank stockmaker over this side of the pond

There is one on ebay now for flat triggerguard.
