Sheaths
      #343383 - 19/07/20 04:31 PM

Did a bit of leatherwork the other day, something I haven't done for years. I used some old scrap leather and made a Leatherman sheath for a mate....

...and a rear crossdraw knife sheath for myself, I'm a bit out of practice so they're a bit ordinary....

Geez wish I could be that “ordinary”. I couldn’t do that if I tried. I like them, very practical

Mate. If they are what you call "a bit ordinary" I can hardly wait to see what you do when you're back in form. Nice work.

Now they are nice. Good work and nothing "ordinary" about them.

yumastepside - are those hand stitched, or do you have a machine for that?
Very nice, BTW.

Nice. A combined leatherman and torch pouch would be useful.

Hand stitched, lined on the back with an oiled leather, drainage hole in the end of the knife scabbard....all done individually to suit whatever they are to hold.

Certainly not 'ordinary' work there Roger - wish i was as good!
My work would look bloody rough compared to that.

I've done leather work since 12-13 years old, so I do know good work, VERY nice. Your edges look skived and burnished and hand stitching is extremely nice. I like the design of the knife sheath, its unique and looks efficient.
