Certainly its a mistake to drop a fully charged en-bloc clip on the ground and try to load it without checking!

Good stuff though! Want one of those Mannlicher pistols for my Argentine Sidearms collection, the Modelo 1905 to be precise. May have long missed the boat on affordability unfortunately...

Thanks for the heads-up, Rothhammer1.

Video of someone shooting a 'Greek' 1903 that's in really nice condition. The 'slow - mo' at 02:04 approaches 'gun porn' : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcCeZmw-z7g&t=148s

Did anyone else think the Greek rifle was rough loading? Looked as if he was having a little trouble running the bolt.

Yes - except for the last one, the third shot.

I forwarded a link to him about the importance of feeding cartridges of proper length and bullet profile to the Schoenauer magazine. I suspect his are a bit short or narrow near the tip, allowing them to shift and drag on the feed ramp.

So that is what my Greek 1903 looked like before someone chopped it. With mine to look more like a stutzen. I like the real stutzens a lot, but for the Greek 1903 almost prefer them with the long barrel and full wood.

More from Mathias and Mae.

These are lengthy and detailed dissertations which, as with all C&Rsenal vid's watched, I have found to be immensely informative. Much ground is covered concisely and what better time than now to feed the brain?

Thanks for posting Rothhammer. That was educational. Mannlicher was certainly before his time. I have a Steyr Mannlicher Pro Hunter and it is a very accurate and smooth action. Prefer it to most others.
