they are not the only one with pickelhauben and mauser rifles

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGd-PcHgzSU

I restore a dreyse rifle last year for an older gentleman who deal with and repair pickelhauben, also make new ones. some years ago he made a new lot for the swedish guard.
its a lot of work but not impossible if you know your business.

btw, in the german sign language, wich is used in germany and belgium, pickelhaube is the sign for police and germany

here the sign for different european countrys
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXX5IjoEyL8
there are hundreds of sign languages around the world but pickelhaube may only exist in the german sign language https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sign_languages

Chilean mounted police also parade with Mauser rifles, as we witnessed in Santiago 2 years ago.

No pickelhaubes though!

When I was a graduate student at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg in 1969-70, I made friends with an antique dealer who had a stock of "Pickelhauben". I came home with three: a Bavarian infantry model, a Prussian artillery model (with a cannon ball in place of a spike) and a lobster tail all metal version, like the ones worn in that Swedish ceremony. I have never seen a modern day German soldier using the "Paradeschritt" (goose step), btw. Too identified with the Third Reich, I suppose.

As an officer on the staff of the Schools Demonstration Troops at the Marine Base at Quantico, I participated in a lot of parades, but none even remotely like that one. It was the only official use I ever had for my sword, however.

the goose step, in german "Stechschritt" stab step is only used post war by shooting clubs, here an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l966xrtkITo

this is only a beer a'clock parade but such things survive the storm of history only in small corner's
