Nice rifle, just 2 issues..

1. Bore size is .012 too small for a WR IMO (IE should be a .425 WR).

2. Bolts on the wrong side!

Beautiful gun, can’t fault it really.

You could call it a work of art and like art, to some it appeals to others it can be yuk. I'm of the latter bred in terms of this rifle. That blue is pretty crass on what should be a truly nostalgic African rifle and cartridge.

Yep a great work of art with heavily grained walnut engraving and colour case hardening.

No doubt will grace a fancy gunrack and gunroom somewhere.

Perhaps even shot a couple of times.

I can admire such a firearm as an artwork.

For me, as a user rifle it is too busy. Too much grain in the walnut. A simpler rifle makes a usable hunting rifle.

In the next 150 years it will adorn many different gun racks. Respect to the commisioner and their service to fine guns. Let’s hope a leather bound journal can accompany its life.

But to the person who can afford such a fun it may well just be a “useable hunting rifle” to them? :P

Likely commissioned by a collector/investor? A very nice “work of art” to be sure. Doubt it will ever be hunted.
Plus; consider that ~10% of the world population is left handed.......very limited pool of potential follow on buyers.

I read the text, and yes I can just see that rifle out on a big African safari in the hands of Pondoro Taylor, Hunter or Bell.

In the field of Africa is not really where that rifle belongs, it is a safe queen to be brought out as a show piece over a few good whiskies, enough to blur the vision a little so that jarring blue goes unnoticed

I’m curious how, after a fair bit of use (although as others mentioned abide thus may well be the only time it’s used), how that blue will look. Will it fade with the CCH eventually, or will it stay ultra blue whilst the CCH wears?
