Berretta Jubillee extra barrels - slugs?
      #334750 - 23/11/19 09:12 AM

I recently purchased two berretta Jubillees from the berretta gallery in NYC. 20g/29.5 combo 28g/29.5 is the first one. The second on is 12g/29.5 Combo 20g/29.5 and a spare set of 12g/28.

Both had broken stocks and I had custom 7x woods made for me by S&S plus in Montana.

My question is what do I do with the spare 12g/28 barrels? Half thinking of getting riffled chockes and getting a 1.5-5x20 leupold mounted to the ribs? Is this kind of stupid? Doable? Any better suggestions?

Hi Rell,

I'm confused. Are the 'combo' barrels one barrel in 20 g and another in 28 g? And another in 12g and 20 g? If so, why?

Yes.

1. 20g frame
-20g 29.5 inch barrels
-28g 29.5 inch barrels

2. 12g frame
-12g 28 inch barrels
-12g 29.5 inch barrels
-20g 29.5 inch barrels

The reason was that the I sorted wanted a “non matching pair” of 20g to do driven birds with. Once I had the guns the barrels where quite inexpensive. It’s also easier to travel with a xtra barrels then two receivers.

Both shotguns had broken wrists from shipping and the Jubillee was discontinued so I got them very cheaply. Then had them stocked to my 6.5 frame.

The 12g 28 barrels are a waste honestly. The 12g came that way but I wanted 29.5 inch barrels and found them and had them fitted. I’m thinking about maybe scooping those and trying rifled choke tubes for them or .....

Interesting idea - rifling chokes - might be very interesting indeed.
