NEW--Nightforce NX8 2.5- 20x50 and 4-32x50
      #334445 - 14/11/19 10:01 AM

https://blog.scopelist.com/nightforce-nx8-4-32x50-and-2-5-20x50-scopes-just-released/

Nightforce has come up with their new NX8 (C622, C623, C624, and C625) offerings for the hunting and tactical communities: NX8 2.5-20×50 F1 (C622 and C623) and the NX8 4-32×50 F1 (C624 and C625) Riflescopes. Now, shooters can get greater performance out of a smaller and lighter riflescope without compromising optical clarity, functionality, and durability. Both the magnifications offer MOAR and MIL-C reticles.

The most demanding shooters can now make precise shots from short-range to extreme-long-range with the same finesse as your NXS or ATACR, thanks to the impressive 8x zoom-range (2.5-20x and 4-32x), 50mm objective lens, and First Focal Plane reticle placement.

HIGHLIGHTS:

HUGE 8x Zoom (2.5-20x magnification range)

First Focal Plane (F1) Reticles (MOAR and MIL-C)

Compact size (12” length) and lightweight (28.3 oz)

50mm Objective Lens: Provides maximum resolution, helping in low-light use including twilight

30mm main tube: Providing the shooter with adequate elevation (110 MOA or 32 MRAD) and windage (80
MOA or 23 MRAD) for long-range shots.

20 MOA or 10 MRAD per Turret Revolution
0.25 MOA or 0.10 MRAD

Superior image quality, thanks to the Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass

Parallax adjustment from 11 yards to infinity

Reticle Illumination (Digillum – Red and Green) is available for all models

Field of View @ 100 yards: 41.8 feet (2.5x) to 7 feet (20x)
Eye Relief: 3.44 inch (87.5 mm)

Other important features: ZeroStop elevation adjustment, capped windage adjustment, integrated PTL (Power Throw Lever), and locking diopter adjustment

The new Nightforce NX8 scope offerings are part of the new trend among shooters as well as scope manufacturers. They now look for hybrid-use scopes that can be used by the hunting and the target/tactical community. Whether you choose the NX8 2.5-20×50 F1 or the NX8 4-32×50 F1 Riflescope, both are excellent choices for hunters and tactical shooters.

Nice

I'll have to find one locally to handle.
I definitely prefer a more compact scope for a hunting rifle, and I prefer the functionality of the tactical scopes for a hunting scope.

I do as well.. I really like Nightforce..honestly they are the only scope company I have NEVER had an issue with.. they were always on the heavier side for a hunting scope..so on my mtn rifles have gone with other companies and lighter scopes..these are very close in weight..AND if like their predecessors, are as durable and accurate.. I am in..

The 243 barrel for my TCR 83 has a 2-7x28 (older) Leupold, 1" tube, no AO, no side focus, no illumination, etc

That's a really nice light and slender scope.
I was just outside working with what's left of my chronograph to see where I'm at with a load.
Still enough light getting in there to see well in so-so light with the small objective lens and skinny tube.

At the SCI show I looked at a few current issue skinny scopes. I'm always looking for a thin, light, FFP scope with low profile click adjustment knobs and a reticle that gets itself out of the way for the point of aim. I actually like a Horus-type reticle as long as it doesn't obstruct the main central point of aim.
Not much out there that answers those things.

Just about double the prices for those scopes in Canada.

I like the NXS scopes but a 50mm Objective lens is just to big for hunting unless it is sit and wait in low light.
