WOW! More than I see on the highways. All I see is a fox if I am lucky. And further North, wedgetail eagles feasting on roadkill.

One would have to be careful walking through that highish grass.

Thanks for posting, Art.

You don't have to leave the USA to hunt dangerous game.

Sadly you can't hunt them in the lower 48 either.. YET..

Perhaps one day.. after a few more tourists get ripped apart..yanked out of their tents, etc.. or if a politicians dog gets attacked..

And some people eat a lot of roadkill, travelling the roads looking for it. Write books about it, have groups on facebook.

Ha ha, was watching one of those naked and surviving episodes where one dude was a proud hunter, and another a 'proud' scavenger ... must have liked pre-softened rotten meat. Guess he was an animal liberationist in disguise.Or the show promoting such "values".

Personally I prefer it less minced and fresher, less fermented ...

The difference between a hunter and a scavenger.

There was actually a law passed in Montana a few years back allowing someone who hits a deer, elk, etc to be able to salvage it.. ROAD KILL LAW..

"Montana wildlife officials said permits to salvage deer, elk, antelope or moose killed in vehicular collisions will be available online beginning Tuesday. The new law that allows for the salvage of road-killed wildlife for food became effective in October.Nov 25, 2013

Here in Northern BC, they Ministry of the Environment(game branch) has a list in some districts and call people on the list when an ungulate is hit & killed. Anyone can be put on the list. The party hitting the animal does not get it, unless they happen to be at the top of the list.
I knew a family up here - well, closer to Smithers, who had every member of the family on the list. There were a lot of them. The mostly moose kills all went for dog food or coyote/wolf bait. Mostly the latter.

HEY, I thought wolves didn't like moose meat?? At least that is what some of the libs try to put forth in their never ending BS..

I have no problem with it if its freshly hit.. why not use it.. hell it will help compensate you for the deductible you will have to pay to get your car fixed..

I guess the deductible is the same for minor damage or moose damage?

LOL - that would cut down on the number of people driving rag-top (convertible) cars.

If God had meant for man to hunt with a bow, he would have given him boobs ....
