Don't catch a standard Taxi.

Be careful. Don't drink to much Vodka. I don't drink so I used spell check to see how you spell Vodka.

If you are by yourself and obviously a tourist then there is a good chance that the Taxi will not take you to your preferred destination, but somewhere else nice and quiet and with the help of some others remove all your belongings including your passport and clothes, then let you out of the car to find your own way back. It's pretty common and I know a few people who have had this happen to them. Can be far worse if you are a female or a couple. I'm not saying that every Taxi ride will be like that, but it does happen quite a lot. The cops are often in on it as well.

There are high end taxis with a proper chauffeur often run by western companies which are obviously more expensive but you do arrive clothed and with both your kidneys.

To date Iíve never set foot in Russia but Iíd love to hunt there. Iím envious and looking forward to seeing some photos of your hunt 👍

I reckon a hunt there would be worth the risk of losing a kidney or two. Good luck and donít forget to post up details of your hunt when you get out of hospital 😂. Kidneys are overrated 👍

Cheers Rod

Hard to get the full pleasure of Vodka without your kidneys
Come to think of it, from what I have`heard some of that Russian Vodka will rot you kidneys over night. Explains the high trade in Kidneys.

Art have a good and safe trip. Plenty of places I'd like to see in Russia but I doubt I will get there.

My wife was keen to travel to Russia for a holiday. Did lots of research. We ended up going somewhere else. No doubt will eventually get there.

I don't know of all the attractions. But a couple spring to mind. A space museum and a military, tank museum. A visit to some Cossack country.

Sorry I'm pretty sparse in information.

She also wants to do the Trans Siberian Railway. Which you can get on and off to see the sights. Lots of time on a train. It doesn't interest me that much. Might be good or ...

Russia is not a country where I have already worked, mainly because its a country where the rule of law usually prevails. My opinion is that there are of course cases of street crime reported in some 'no go' areas, but not more than in similar areas in any western country; the same should also apply to white collar crime and organised crime. There are of course a lot of anti-Putin comments on the Net but they originate mostly from the same kind of 'real democrats' that target Trump in our own countries. So I would travel tomorrow to Russia without any kind of hesitation, should the opportunity arise, and I am sure that I would be 99% safe providing of course I do not try to get involved into any kind of political activity while in country. With regards to visit highlights, apart from hunting of course, visiting Saint Petersburg and travelling the Trans Siberian would be my top priorities.
