9.3MM PPU bullets?

Hello all.

I am putting this request on several forums.

I am looking for details about the PPU brand 9.3MM 285 grain bullets. Specifically, how they hold together and what amount of weight they are retaining from kills in the field. Any cartridge 9.3MM gun, at any game, at any range at any angles, I would like to hear detailed reports by anyone who has killed game with this specific bullet.

I have expansion tests and weight retention was in the mid 90% range.
I have not recovered bullets from anything I’ve killed with these bullets as whitetailed deer just don’t offer enough resistance to stop them even at x57.velcities (2100 fps)..
Exit wounds did show signs of expansion though.

Hi Steve

I have shot a more than 100 PPU 285gn pills into feral donkeys, horses & pigs, all of these factory ammo at about 2260fps from my Tikka M65 (velocity not confirmed). My experience is very deep penetration from all angles with massive blood loss for easy follow up. I have not been able to recover a bullet yet! Because they are a little low on velocity they tend to produce very lethal but not instant kills. Nothing travels more than about 20m though!
