Is there a 300grn load for .333 Jeffery?

Just curios if there is a hotter load then 250grn for the 333? I guess you could develop one, you would just need a custom width bullet?

Would this cause a pressure spike or could most mausers handle it?

The .333 Jeffery's best load is the 300 grainer.

Faulty construction of the original 250 grain bullets are what really killed the cartridge. not being a standard bolt face probably didnt help with popularity and manufacture cost.

Originally a 300gr. at 2,050fps, seems to me.

I wonder if you could make a 350grn load going 2000fps?

Don't see why not, depends on the rifle.
Just did a search - Rimmlss Jeffery - 250gr. at 2,500fps, 300gr. at 2,200fps. Rimmed Jeffery, 250 at 2,400fps and 300 at 2,150fps. test bl. 28"

I see no reason the 350 wouldn't make 2,100fps or maybe more with today's powders.

Case capacity is given as 84gr., which is very close to a .338 Win Mag, seems to me.

G'Day Fella's,

Gundog01, FYI www.woodleighbullets.com.au make 0.333" bullets for the .333 Jeffery, in 250grn RNSN (Catalog- # 60), and both a 300grn RNSN (#61) and FMJ (#62).

These bullets, should be available in the USA, from Huntington Die Specialties, in CA.

Hope that helps

D'oh!
Homer

I will call Lonnie at Superior ammo and see what he says. He is great at tweaking vintage loads. I will report back with what he says.
