Family and I just spent a few days in Puerto Rico..prior to this had never been..

Have to admit, traveling somewhere where you don't have to go through customs, etc..going to and from is nice..

Weather was amazing and even more so considering we had a all time record cold and one of the highest snowfalls ever recorded in this part of Montana.. 84-88F felt nice... and NO, Daryl, it wasn't too hot..

Despite the bad hurricane damage about 1 1/2 years ago..they have really recovered..had no issues at all traveling around or seeing any damage remaining to be fixed...

People were very friendly...had a really good talk with the fishing guide for the day.. he filled me in a lot of how the basically colony of the USA system works..I can see the pro's and con's of it.. certainly see the influence everywhere..

We did talk guns..in fact he pulled out his 9mm Taurus and let me take a look..have to say one of the most pathetic triggers I have ever tried...

Great food..reasonable prices...we had a great trip...nice place to visit..

Art good photos. Your kids are growing up quick and look to be enjoying themselves.

Those of the stream could be in a few places in Queensland.

YES, the kids are growing up way too fast--told them last week to knock it off and slow down..

One of my greatest joys of life ...spending time with them...

BC as well. Should be some evergreens, though, here and there.

I was surprised a bit by the lack of wildlife... much of what is there was brought in a long time ago..however the fishing guide told me monkeys are getting to be a bit of a problem in some areas... even out horseback riding..never saw a lot of the colorful birds you would see in other areas of that part of the world...

Great photos RIP, your kids are certainly having a ball. Nice fish as well.

The Ex Mother-in-law sounds like a real beauty.

Thanks for sharing.

Love to see South America….but for me there is too much " El Patrón de la narcotraficante" over the region.

Actually there is not.

When I visited Peru and also Santiago in Chile, it was nothing like I expected and I found it rather wonderful.

Our views are often clouded by the negativeness of American TV and views of Latin America. No offense to our American friends but most of our TV on Latin America is from the USA.

But I did use coca in Peru, everyone going up the high altitudes uses it. It is a leaf, chewed, or in lolly/candy form or a tea. It is good for breathing, headaches, muscle pains etc etc. And in cities at 4000 metres breathing especially when asleep can be a problem. Coca is good stuff, and I wish it was available legally in tea form.

For the most part S America is fine.. well, too a point..Brazil has turned into a bit of a shithole.. crime is wild.. murder rates are through the roof...

Then there is the Venezuela debacle ... so---S America does have its issues...

BUT, I was in Argentina a couple years back..was a great time.. beautiful women.. very.. have some friends there right now fishing..tell me they are having an awesome time..

Central America.. I would NOT go to right now..but each to their own...people go missing there on a very frequent basis...
