Gun 19 of 25 is the 'Kumaon' London Best rifle chambered in .350 Rigby magnum. This rifle was built to the same specifications as the classic .350s we have in our London collection, many of which would have seen action in India. This magnificent example of a full custom rifle has been themed around game animals of Kumaon in India and was engraved in-house by Rigby's very talented engraver Geoffrey Lignon. #RIGBY #GUNMAKERS #FITFORPURPOSE

I suppose you could install a small gas cylinder in the grip trap so as the cobra rears up it gives a hiss. Certainly a work of art and a conversation piece. Would obviously do the job in the field for anyone brave enough to take it.
I never really got to like the style of foresight on the Rigby's, mounted back from the muzzle with an abrupt front edge, almost as though it is waiting to be threaded for a suppressor. Now come to think of it, let the imagination run riot on what could be engraved on a suppressor.

Jokes aside, a rifle with nice lines for a good handy cartridge. Maybe an image of Jim Corbett would set off the Kumaon nicely?

These images took a long time to up load and several tries at it. HOPEFULLY they are still all there now, and also the originals behind the displayed images.

Anyone finding any of the images not working, please let me know.

IT IS GREAT to see a new rifle chambered in the .350 Rigby Magnum cartridge! I have another set of images of a rifle chambered in .350 to show later as well.

I like the gimmick of a cobra raisings its head and hood on the grip trap lid. Really cool idea.

Love the Indian elephant engraving as well.

Not a rifle I would ever take into the field. More a museum and wealthy collectors gun room exhibit. But I couldn't afford it anyway so its moot.

Another great work by talented artisans and a resurgent great British firearms house.
