John Rigby & Co released a number of a series of photos and some commentary on recent rifles they have made.

Some excellent rifles, mauser and rising bites. Some heavily embellished, some very vintage, a mixture. I hope the gentlemen of NE enjoy these over the next few weeks.

Gun 4 of 25: This unique elephant skin engraved London Best .450 Rigby was showcased at Safari Club International in Las Vegas back in 2017. The exquisite hand engraving covers all metal work on the rifle and required more than 2,000 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. This labour of love was undertaken by master engraver Tony Maidment. Tony revealed that the rifle features around 100,000 individual skin pores, all engraved by hand. #RIGBY #GUNMAKERS #FITFORPURPOSE

I am one who is not keen on having a lot of engraving on a rifle. However that is very well done and does not look to ostentatious.
