Gun 5 of 25 is a .416 Rigby London Best inspired by a rare, exceptional pre-war .416 engraved by Kell. The full coverage of period Rigby scroll on action, floor metal and barrel was undertaken by Hendrik Frühauf and finished with full colour case hardening. #RIGBY #GUNMAKERS #FITFORPURPOSE

Agreed. However I do not like the high gloss finish on the stock. If it were mine I would have the stock done in a traditional flat oil finish. Like the old Rigby's were.

Man do I like that rifle.

The high gloss is easily cut back with pumice or rotten stone. Some use 000 or finger wool, but the rotten stone does a good job as well - pretty close in grit. This still leaves a filled stock, all grain filled.
