Nitro X John wanted Gun Porn so here we go: “Restored” R B Rodda .404 Jeffery with German Suhl and British proofs. This one came out of Holts some time ago and wound up here in the States with an owner that just put it away, evidently having never fired it. Possibly never fired since restoration. I picked it up via Steve Bertram of Bertram & Co in Ward, Colorado, just a couple hours drive from me. The action and barrel are original R. B. Rodda with the bore showing light Cordite burn/frosting in the grooves. New stock (maker unknown), Blackburn bottom metal, H&H 30mm detachable scope mounts/rings, and caliber-serial number engraved on the trigger guard and floorplate as well as the scope rings. Sorry for my less than professional grade photography.......Enjoy - Mike

Thanks Daryl & Matt, it’s a keeper! I have only gotten to fire one round, just to make sure it worked befire closing the deal. We are still in ass deep snow so no trips to the range yet.

That restoration turned out great, the rifle looks like a real beauty. Well done, I bet you are looking froward to using it.

Well I bet your other two dogs must have been either been not keen enough or a little too smart by not going out when its freezing! My old uncle used to have an old Labrador like that, never moved a muscle...until you opened the shotgun; turned into a different dog altogether - mind you it was the saddest thing to go & get him off the truck!
