Steyr MS12 action lengths

I am looking to get a Steyr MS 12 in 308Win in Left Hand action, I was told Steyr make actions suited to the cartridge SL=223 L=308 M=30/06, ok but when you look at the specs for a 308 v 30/06 etc its the same length with 22" barrel, if one action is shorter how can both be same length??

As I can not compare action sizes does any one know if the 308 is shorter than the 30/06 action?

I checked Steyr site but very vague, ??
